M.Hlth.Sc., B.Hlth.Sc., DRM. A.N.T.A Fellow

Jakinta is an Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist, and Remedial Masseuse. She began her career in Complementary Medicine over 20 years ago and has studied in Australia at the University of Technology in Sydney where she completed her Bachelor and Masters of Health Science, Wat Po temple in Bangkok and Guangzhou China completing a hospital internship.

In some circles Chinese medicine is considered a 'new alternative' medicine, but in reality the system is over 2,000 years old and acupuncture and herbal prescriptions that were used then are still being used commonly today.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs can be used as an adjunct to compliment Western medicine or as a stand alone treatment to prevent illness and improve health. Jakinta is very diverse in her interests and has had a great deal of success in the treatment of:

  • Viral infections (Ross River & Barmah Forest Virus)
  • Joint and muscle pain (including arthritis)
  • Gynecological disorders ranging from period pain and PMS to menopausal symptoms
  • Cold and flu's
  • Digestive disorders
  • Fluid retention
  • Pregnancy / fertility conditions - fluid retention, pain, repetitive miscarriage
  • Low energy levels and forgetfulness or 'cotton wool head'

Acupuncture and herbs can help with many other conditions not mentioned, so if you are unsure if your condition can be helped please contact Jakinta at Pushkar on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday.

Jakinta is recognised by all health funds and is a Fellow member of the A.N.T.A.
